Yes, this does happen!
- health professionals tell someone with lower back pain to avoid deadlifts or being in a bent forward position. But in almost all cases avoiding movement permanently does NOT make us better – let’s be realistic… does this mean you have to permanently avoid bending forward to pick up their shopping bags, that filing box at work or even their kids?! There has to be a better way!
If you move with pain or fear, wouldn’t your goal be to instead move with FREEDOM – to be able to do whatever you want to do with your body whenever you want to do it?! 🤸🏼♀️
It IS possible!!
Almost every week someone comes to us with a niggling pain, injury or a chronic issue that is holding them back, and not once have we ever turned them away or told them not to move!

They are both deadlifting with barbells, progressing their strength, and are most importantly moving pain-free! 💪
